Article Processing Charges

Article Processing Charges (will apply for the new submissions starting 1st November 2025)

The Journal of Theoretical and Applied Physics (JTAP) follows a fully open-access publishing model, ensuring that all published research is freely accessible to readers worldwide. Open-access publication offers significant benefits, including greater visibility, increased citation potential, and unrestricted access to research findings. It enables wider dissemination without paywalls or subscription barriers.

An Article Processing Charge (APC) applies to support the related costs. This fee covers essential services such as manuscript processing, peer review management, typesetting, digital archiving, and online hosting.

APC Rates for publishing in the Journal of Theoretical and Applied Physics (JTAP) for the New Submissions after 01/11/2025

The standard APC for publishing regular articles in our journal is:

  • £450 GBP
  • $600 USD
  • €520 EUR

Payment and Publication Policy

Once a manuscript has successfully undergone peer review and has been accepted for publication by the Editor-in-Chief, the corresponding author must arrange payment of the APC. Prompt payment is essential, as articles cannot be published until the full fee has been received.

Online Payment Method

To facilitate seamless transactions, we offer an online payment system. Authors can securely pay the APC using major credit/debit cards or PayPal via our designated online payment portal. Detailed payment instructions and the payment link will be provided after the acceptance email via a separate email by the Payment Team. For any issues regarding payment, authors may contact our support team at [email protected].

APC Waiver and Discount Policy

We acknowledge that some authors may face financial constraints, and we are committed to supporting researchers in need by sending emails to [email protected]. Waivers or discounts may be available under the following circumstances:

1- Authors from Low-Income Countries: Corresponding authors affiliated with institutions in low-income countries (World Bank country classifications by income level for 2024-2025) may be eligible for a full or partial waiver of the APC. Those who qualify should contact the journal before submitting their manuscript to discuss available options.

2- General Waiver Requests: Authors who require financial assistance may submit a formal waiver request via email, explaining their circumstances. Each request will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, and decisions will be made at the publisher’s discretion.

3- Students with supervisors from the IAU.
