Comparative study of behavior of electrical conductivity in KI‒Al2O3 and KI‒TiO2 heterostructure composites

AbstractThe present work reports development of binary KI–Al2O3 and KI–TiO2-based nanocomposites using simple solid-state reaction method and is characterized by X-ray diffraction, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and impedance spectroscopy. The results show the effect of heterogeneously doped Al2O3 and TiO2 on the ionic conductivity of pure KI which is moderately conductive. The results […]

Anti-corrosion properties of stainless steel 304L coated with Mn-based thin film and annealed with nitrogen flux exposed to saline solution under various temperatures

AbstractIn this work the corrosion resistance of stainless steel 304L coated with Mn-based thin film and post annealed with flow of nitrogen at 723 K in 0.6 M NaCl solution is reported. The latter was performed at three different solution temperatures of 293 K, 313 K and 333 K. X-ray diffraction analysis was used to determine the crystallographical structure and […]

Impedance spectroscopy and conductivity studies of KCl-doped solid electrolyte

Abstract(CuCl)4−2x−(KCl)x–CdCl2, x = 0.0–0.4 solid electrolytes were grown via solid-state reaction procedure by suitable heat treatment. An AC impedance spectroscopy suggested that the ionic conductivity mainly arisen from grain effect. A DC electrical conductivity of 3.94 × 10−5 Scm−1 was measured for the x = 0.3 composition at 320 °C. This also shows lowest activation energy in the temperature range of 293–593 K. This […]
