Clinical application of traditional Chinese medicine nursing in cardiovascular patients

Authors

Abstract

Objective: To probe the clinical Effect of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) nursing in cardiovascular patients.

Methods: A total of 120 patients with cardiovascular disease treated in our hospital were randomly separated into a control group (C.G., n=60) and a research group (R.G., n=60).

Patients in the C.G. received routine medical care. Patients in the R.G. accepted TCM nursing. It compared (1) HAMD, (2) HAMA, (3) SF-36 scores, (4) sleep quality, (5) occurrence of complications, as well as patients’ satisfaction in both groups.

Results: HAMD, HAMA, and SF-36 scores of both groups showed no significance before nursing (P>0.05). HAMA and HAMD scores of the R.G. were lower than the C.G. after nursing (P<0.05). SF-36 scores of the R.G. were elevated relative to the C.G. after nursing (P<0.05). The scores of all sleep quality in the R.G. were lower than the C.G. (P<0.05). Relative to the C.G. (P<0.05), there was a lessened incidence of complications in the R.G.

Close to the C.G. (P<0.05) elevated the patient’s satisfaction in the R.G.

Conclusion: The use of TCM nursing in patients with cardiovascular diseases can significantly relieve patients’ negative emotions, improve patients’ quality of life and sleep, reduce the incidence of complications, and have particular clinical application value.
