All manuscripts submitted to the International Journal of Political Science (IJPS) would undergo the following process:
- The subject of the article should be within the scope of the journal. Articles about unrelated subjects would be excluded from the review process.
- Manuscripts are checked to ensure they follow the journal guidelines' standards. If they do not, they are returned to the author to be adjusted accordingly.
- External reviewers evaluate manuscripts using a double-blinded peer review process. This ensures the quality of the research methodology, reasoning, and report writing. Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other. The process may take 3 to 7 weeks.
- The editor-in-chief makes the final decisions about articles.
- The corresponding author will be informed about the results via email. Manuscripts can be accepted or rejected with minor or major revisions. For that latter, the authors should consider all the suggestions of the reviewers and editorials and make revisions or provide rationale. When revisions are needed, they will be given a three weeks time to revise their article and return it to the journal office.
- Accepted manuscripts for an issue go through the production process (edition and page layout, ...).
- The final version of each manuscript will be sent to its corresponding author, who is asked to declare within 3 days if they observe any problems or mistakes in the file after the edition and page layout.
- Final version of accepted manuscripts are published electronically.
The International Journal of Political Science (IJPS) is committed to the highest standards of this peer review process.
