<Abstract>This study investigated the therapeutic potential of methanolic root extracts of Nymphaea pubescens Willd. with a focus on their antidiabetic, antilipidemic, and antimicrobial properties. The methanolic root extracts of the N. pubescens at higher doses (500 mg/kg) exhibited a pronounced serum blood glucose-lowering activity (p &amp;lt; 0.001) and also demonstrated remarkable outcomes in body weight loss (p &amp;lt; 0.01), closely resembling the effects of the standard metformin. The same experiment displayed a noticeable reduction in low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and total cholesterol (TC) levels (p &amp;lt; 0.001), along with a notable elevation in high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) levels (p &amp;lt; 0.01). Furthermore, the plant extract at 500 mg/kg unveiled significant antimicrobial activities (p &amp;lt; 0.001) against both Staphylococcus aureus and Aspergillus niger and also exhibited significant (p &amp;lt; 0.01) inhibition of Escherichia coli. In summary, these findings highlight the multifaceted therapeutic potential of N. pubescens root extracts, warranting further investigation for their possible development into novel therapeutic agents.</Abstract>
