Subsequently (2-VP-MBAm-AA) was reacted with CuI to give the Cu(I) NPs supported onto the above polymer. These immobilized nano-particles were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), FT-IR and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES). This well characterized composite was examined as effective and reusable heterogeneous catalyst in water for the regioselective synthesis of 1, 4-disubstituted 1, 2, 3-triazoles in excellent yields.
