The one-pot four-component cyclocondensation of dimedone, aromatic aldehydes, acetophenone and ammonium acetate was carried under the conditions of refluxing in DMF at 110ÂșC. This method offers several advantages such as easy separation of catalyst, environmentally benign, mild reaction conditions and excellent of yields. In recent years, much attention has been focused on the application of heterogeneous reusable catalysts in organic synthesis because easy work-up, easy filtration and minimization of cost and waste generation. However, In view of the importance of quinoline derivatives, many classical methods for their synthesis were reported. The classical method involves an one-pot four-component condensation of dimedone, aldehydes, ethyl acetoacetate or similar compounds and ammonium acetate using of various catalysts such as montmorillonite, HClO4/SiO2, ionic liquids, Yb(OTf)3, nickel nanoparticles, Cu(II) complex and microwave.}, number={2}, journal={International Journal of Industrial Chemistry}, publisher={OICC Press}, author={Allameh, Sadegh and Shaker, Mohammad and Milani, Azadeh Habibnia}, year={2023}, month={Nov.}, keywords={Quinolines, Acetophenone, Dimedone, Mn(II)Complex, Naphthoic acid} }
