In this paper, the aim is to investigate the removal of Cd2+ and Ni2+ from aqueous solutions by chitosan/polyvinyl alcohol/polyethyleneimine (CS/PVA/PEI) adsorbent prepared with acetone. The effect of various parameters such as pH, temperature, contact time, adsorbent amount, and initial concentration was investigated in static mode. The findings of this study show that the maximum absorption process takes place at a pH equal to 3, an initial concentration of 35 mg/l, a temperature of 25 °C with a contact time of 2 hours, and a speed of 120 rpm. The removal percentage of Cd2+ and Ni2+ by the adsorbent was also tested in dynamic mode.
