Upper Triassic sediments was investigated in the Posht Badam Block in northwestern Kerman area (Central Iran Zone). The studied section is extended approximately 112 meters which is alternately comprised clastic and carbonate sediments. In addition, 60 samples are collected and thin sections are provided. According to the stratigraphic distribution of identified foraminifera, eight biozones as interval and Concurrence rang zones are identified, including: Rectoglandulina tenuis Interval Zone, Triasina hantkeni Interval Zone, Ophtalmidium exiguum Interval Zone, Angulodiscus communis Interval Zone, Planiinvoluta regularis Interval Zone and three Concurrence rang zones are identified which are Turrispirillina minima Concurrence Range Zone, Involutina liassica Concurrence Range Zone, Duostomina alta Concurrence Range Zone. According to established foraminiferal zones, the age of the selected section is assigned to late Norian-late Rhaetian. The studied stratigraphic section is attributed to the members of Howz-e Khan and Qhadir.
