<Abstract>Tetrahydropyranylation of alcohols and phenols, acetylation of aldehydes and N-Boc protection of amines are efficiently catalyzed by melamine trisulfonic acid (MTSA). All reactions were performed at room temperature in good to high yields.</Abstract>
