On one hand, the energy of the snubber is optimally transmitted to the output so that no significant losses are imposed on the converter. Since the converter diodes are switched off as ZCS, the reverse recovery problem is reduced. In this paper, the proposed snubber circuit is applied to a conventional boost converter and an 80W sample is constructed in the laboratory to prove the performance and theoretical analysis.
