Aims and Scope

Iranian Journal of Earth Sciences (IJES) publishes review papers of all aspects of Earth Sciences or treatises on an expanding Earth Sciences subject. Covering a much wider field than the usual specialist journals, it allows the reader to see his particular interest related to the earth sciences as a whole. Because of the breadth and depth of its approach to subjects of current interest, the journal is an important vehicle of information gathering for instructors. Earth sciences have shown rapid development during the last few decades and the need for a platform to disseminate and share the new findings and results was being felt by the geoscientific community as a whole. The IJES is a step in this direction in assuming the responsibility to uphold the interest of the scientists by providing them opportunities to share the results and to interact with each other as well as with rest of the world.  This journal will act as a window for exchange of knowledge and information between geoscientists and offer a platform for interaction of Iranian geoscientists with their international colleagues. The IJES is an international journal and the results of research pertaining to geosciences from any part of the world are welcome. It is implied that all the papers submitted are based on original research and will have to undergo peer review as per the policy of the journal.
