In today’s rapidly evolving scientific and industrial landscape, decision-makers are increasingly confronted with complex systems marked by uncertainty, interdependency, and dynamic behavior. Addressing such challenges extends far beyond conventional analytical methods—it demands the seamless integration of mathematical modeling, optimization techniques, computational intelligence, and data-driven decision-support frameworks.
The International Journal of Mathematical Modeling and Computations (IJM2C) is committed to serving as a premier platform for research that advances both the theory and application of optimization, modeling, simulation, and intelligent computational methods across engineering, management, and industrial domains. The journal especially welcomes contributions that bridge methodological innovations with tangible practical applications, thereby empowering researchers and practitioners to tackle real-world problems with enhanced rigor and effectiveness.
A notable example in this issue is the article entitled “A Hybrid AI Framework for Time & Cost Performance Forecasting in Oil and Gas Project Management”. By integrating multiple analytical and computational approaches within a unified framework, such studies illustrate how modern methodologies can significantly improve prediction accuracy, support decision-making under uncertainty, elevate operational performance, and generate insights that are both scientifically robust and practically actionable. Equally important is the growing emphasis on explainable and transparent models, which not only increases confidence in research outcomes but also facilitates their adoption in industrial and organizational settings.
Optimization and modeling have become central pillars of modern research because they offer a systematic pathway to understanding complex phenomena, evaluating alternatives, allocating resources efficiently, and enhancing system performance. Whether applied to industrial operations, project management, energy systems, supply chains, manufacturing, or emerging technological domains, these approaches enable organizations to transform data into knowledge, and knowledge into effective decisions.
We strongly encourage our authors to continue pursuing innovative research that harmonizes mathematical rigor with practical relevance. Contributions that integrate optimization, simulation, artificial intelligence, stochastic analysis, and computational modeling are particularly valuable in advancing both academic knowledge and industrial practice. Through the dissemination of such interdisciplinary work, IJM2C aspires to contribute significantly to the development of intelligent, efficient, and sustainable solutions for the defining challenges of the twenty-first century.
Authors are respectfully reminded that manuscripts wholly or largely generated by artificial intelligence tools, without substantial intellectual contribution and direct accountability from the authors, are not acceptable for submission to this journal, as we uphold the fundamental principles of scientific integrity, originality, and author responsibility.
We look forward to receiving your impactful research and welcoming you to our growing community of contributors.
